Hello Students and Parents of BCHS!
Who can believe it’s already May?! That means only 2 months until summer break!!
Winding down the school year can be a stressful time for students, so it’s important to keep up with self care and finding joy in the little things, as well as embracing moments of relaxation whenever possible! Whether you're a parent looking to set an example or a young student eager to explore self-love, join us on this adventure of well-being and discover the magic of self-care together.
Mental Health Week - May 6th to 10th
This month we are also celebrating Mental Health Week from May 6th to 10th. We have activities each day planned at lunch time to promote healthy coping skills, including rock painting with Successful Families Successful Kids, journal decorating, creating positive affirmation cards, and creative expressions through art on mini canvases. The students from BCHS’ Students’ Union will also be decorating and handing out cookies in support of Mental Health Week. We will also be participating in Hats on! for Mental Health on May 8th, so be sure to come to school with your favorite hat to help raise awareness of the importance of good mental health!!!
For more resources, check out the Self-Care page on the NLPS website.
Last month, we celebrated the magic of self-love. Share your thoughts: How did the theme of *Love Your Mind* impact your family? Your feedback and ideas make our community thrive.
